Zhang Aimin, born in July 1966 in Ma'an Town, Chongren County, graduated from the Physics Department of Jiangxi University in July 1987. He was then assigned to work at Jiangxi Substation Equipment General Factory. Starting as an ordinary technician, he rose to positions including Inspection Section Chief, Branch Factory Director, Deputy General Factory Director, and Senior Engineer, making significant contributions to the development of the enterprise and the local economy.
During the 1996 enterprise restructuring, he planned to start his own factory. In April 2000, he founded Jiangxi Gandian Electric Co., Ltd. At its inception, the company had only a dozen employees, an annual output value of only a few million yuan, and annual tax revenue of only tens of thousands of yuan. The product line was simple, producing only five or six types of oil-immersed transformers. After fifteen years of management innovation, technological innovation, and product innovation, it has developed into a modern enterprise with more than 150 employees, an annual output value exceeding 100 million yuan, annual tax revenue of over 4 million yuan, capable of producing oil-immersed transformers, dry-type transformers, oil-immersed transformers, dry-type transformers, American-style box transformers, European-style box transformers, and high and low voltage complete sets, with thousands of varieties (specifications and models). The company has been successively awarded honors such as "National May 1st Labor Award," "Star Enterprise of China Machinery Industry Federation," "National High-tech Enterprise," "National Advanced Enterprise in Technological Innovation," "Jiangxi Province Famous Brand Product," "Jiangxi Province Famous Trademark," "Jiangxi Province AAA Contract-abiding and Trustworthy Enterprise," "Jiangxi Province Innovative Enterprise," "Jiangxi Province Energy-saving Distribution Transformer and Transformer Manufacturing Technology Engineering Research Center," "Jiangxi Provincial Enterprise Technology Center," and "Top Ten Enterprises in Jiangxi Province by Industry," among more than a hundred honors. It is a government-supported enterprise under Jiangxi Province's strategic emerging industry guidance fund. In 2015, it was also recognized as a harmonious labor relations enterprise in Jiangxi Province, a postdoctoral innovation practice base, a national advanced unit in professional ethics, and a national worker pioneer. Zhang Aimin personally has received honors such as Jiangxi Province New Century Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talent Project, Ganpo Talent 555 Project, Star Entrepreneur, National Employee Technical Innovation Expert, Government Special Allowance, State Council Special Allowance Expert, and Jiangxi Province Model Worker.
He has helped the local government solve problems and arranged employment for more than 150 laid-off workers and surplus rural laborers at the company. The average monthly income per employee increased from a few hundred yuan at the company's founding to more than 3,400 yuan now, while also solving the livelihood problems of more than 150 families. For this, Comrade Zhang Aimin was awarded "Outstanding Individual in Reemployment in Fuzhou City," and the Jiangxi Gandian Electric Co., Ltd. he founded was recognized as a "Reemployment Base in Fuzhou City."
Every year, various forms of employee training classes are held to continuously improve employee quality and skills. He has personally funded experts from Beijing Huaxia Certification Company, Guangzhou Hongxiao Consulting Co., Ltd., and local senior lecturers to give lectures at the company. He also frequently sends employees to attend various training classes organized by county, city, and provincial departments. The company has cultivated four senior engineers, one engineer, and twenty-one assistant engineers, accumulating positive energy and giving the enterprise wings to soar for future development.
He cares about employees' hardships and regards them as his own family. Every year during the Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and Spring Festival, he generously gives each employee two gifts as a token of sympathy! Additionally, whenever an employee is hospitalized or a family member passes away, he arranges for cadres to deliver condolence money or personally visits to offer comfort. This has enhanced the company's cohesion and combat effectiveness. In 2015, the company achieved sales revenue of 100.67 million yuan and paid 4.1541 million yuan in national and local taxes. From January to April this year, sales revenue reached 32.7576 million yuan, with 1.14 million yuan paid in national and local taxes. Comrade Zhang Aimin is truly a model entrepreneur.
At the beginning of his entrepreneurial journey, Zhang Aimin received strong government support, having obtained a 2 million yuan interest-subsidized startup loan. This 2 million yuan interest-subsidized loan was undoubtedly a timely help for a newly established enterprise. Comrade Zhang Aimin relied on this loan to develop new products, purchase essential production and testing equipment, enabling the enterprise to overcome difficulties and embark on a healthy and extraordinary development path.
