In this golden autumn season with refreshing breeze and fragrant osmanthus, on November 3rd, more than 500 experts, scholars, and guests from domestic and abroad gathered in Fuzhou, Jiangxi — the hometown of talented people and the birthplace of Tang Weng, a place full of dreams and drama — to participate in the 2nd Central Region Substation Equipment Industry Summit Forum. The event was hosted by the Fuzhou Municipal People's Government, Jiangxi Provincial Industry and Information Technology Commission, and the National Federation of Industry and Commerce Hardware and Electromechanical Chamber of Commerce; organized by the People's Government of Chongren County and the Fuzhou Industry and Information Technology Commission; and co-organized by Shenyang Transformer Research Institute, Yigao Group Co., Ltd., Sky Broadband, People's Daily Online Jiangxi Channel, China Nonferrous Metals Magazine, and Jiangxi Beidou Substation Equipment Technology Co., Ltd.

This forum, themed on connecting the "Belt and Road" initiative and upgrading the "integration of informatization and industrialization," is an industry event dedicated to promoting the coordinated development of the substation equipment industry and enhancing its influence and reputation. The agenda includes the opening ceremony, main forum reports, sub-forum reports, a visit to Chongren by attendees, the 3rd China Hardware and Electromechanical Industry Elite Roundtable Meeting, and the Jiangxi Substation Equipment Industry Association Annual Meeting. Subsequently, guests attending the event including Jiang Ming, Zhang Hongxing, Guo Mengqian, Yan Limiao, Liu Yu, Liu Jie, Zheng Yuanbao, and Cheng Xinfei went on stage together to jointly launch the forum.

It is understood that in recent years, Chongren County has regarded the substation equipment industry as a key project for "industrial strengthening of the county." By upgrading through the "integration of informatization and industrialization," it has expanded the industrial chain development and built an industrial development highland, gradually forming a scale effect. Currently, there are more than 50 large-scale enterprises producing transformers, current transformers, and complete sets of equipment, more than 70 supporting enterprises, and independently developed 35 major series of substation products with over 2,000 specifications. It has become the "single champion" with the most substation equipment manufacturers and the most complete products in Jiangxi Province, with a significant industrial agglomeration effect. In 2017, the main business income of the substation equipment industry in the county exceeded 20 billion yuan. It is expected that by 2020, the annual main business income of the substation equipment industry in the county will exceed 50 billion yuan.
It is reported that currently, Chongren's substation products have a market share of over 80% in the province, and the national market coverage rate of distribution transformers ranks third among peers.
