Jiangxi Province Substation Equipment Industry Museum Opens in Chongren

The opening ceremony of the Jiangxi Substation Equipment Industry Museum was held on the 21st in Chongren, Jiangxi. Substation equipment has always been Chongren's "flagship product." In recent years, the county has closely focused on the goal positioning of the "50 Billion Substation Equipment Project," diligently improving its internal capabilities, seizing market opportunities, continuously strengthening the industrial cluster advantage of the substation industry, and promoting rapid economic development in the county.
It is reported that the museum began construction in August 2015, with a total investment of over 5 million yuan and a building area of more than 5,000 square meters. It adopts a three-dimensional spatial layout, including an exhibition area on the development history of substation equipment displayed in pictures; a physical exhibition area of substation equipment, currently collecting more than 50 exhibits including dry-type transformers, oil transformers, box transformers, transformers, and other distribution equipment parts; and a future outlook area mainly showcasing the future direction and development trends of Chongren's substation equipment industry.
It is understood that the substation equipment industry is a traditional industry in Chongren with a solid industrial foundation. To date, Chongren has developed 92 substation equipment and supporting enterprises. The Chongren substation equipment industry began during the "Third Front Construction" period, with the establishment of the "Chongren Electric Machine Factory" in 1968. It has nearly 50 years of development history, showing certain agglomeration and fission effects, and has formed a group of competitive backbone enterprises such as Jiangxi Substation, Mingzheng Substation, Gandan Electric, Yapo Electric, and Yifa Power.
